I had already booked a car and showed up expecting everything to be ready, but there weren’t any cars available. I was frustrated at the time because I was in a hurry and just needed the rental process to go smoothly.

The car was okay and pickup was easy enough. The only annoying part was the extra fees at the counter, since the price ended up being different than I expected. Not awful, just kind of frustrating.

I did get my refund in the end, so that part was fine. It just took longer than I thought it would, and I wasn’t totally sure when it was supposed to arrive. I kept thinking it would show up one day, then maybe the next, so the timeline was a bit confusing. But it did come through eventually...

I booked through nextcarrental.com because the price looked like a good deal, and I usually compare a few sites before choosing. The pattern I noticed was that their upfront price seemed lower than the others, but once I got to the pickup counter, the extra fees started showing up and they weren’t clearly explained when I paid online.
By the time everything was added on, the total was way higher than what I expected. It felt like the real price was kind of hidden until the last minute, which is frustrating because I try to watch for that stuff. I wouldn’t use them again

"Reservation didn’t match at all"
I booked a small SUV for 10am and my confirmation showed everything correctly, but when I got to the counter, they had a different pickup time and a different car class in their system. I had to stand there and redo the whole thing, which was really frustrating. Not saying it’s a scam, but it definitely felt like something was off. I don’t think I’ll be using them again.

"Customer service was okay, in my experience"
I had to reach out to customer service about my booking, and for me, it felt a little slower than I expected. The person did eventually answer my question, but I had to repeat myself a couple of times, which was a bit frustrating. It wasn’t a terrible experience by any means, just not as helpful or smooth as I was hoping. Everything got sorted in the end, though.

"Decent car, but could’ve been cleaner"
Pickup was easy enough, and the car drove fine with no real issues. But the condition was just kind of average. There were some scratches on the outside, and the seats had a few stains, which for the price felt a little disappointing. I expected it to be cleaner, honestly. Also, noticing the stains right after getting in — that part was weird

"Drop-off was fine, just slower than expected"
Drop-off wasn’t a bad experience, but it definitely took longer than I thought it would. There was only one person checking in cars and a few of us waiting, so I ended up standing around for a bit. If that’s how they usually handle drop-offs, I can see it getting backed up easily.
The staff member was nice and the final inspection itself was straightforward, so no real complaints there. I just wish the signs were clearer about where to park the car, because that part felt a little confusing

The place itself was fine and the staff seemed friendly enough, which I appreciated. That said, it definitely wasn’t as nearby as I expected, and the shuttle took forever, so getting around was frustrating. Overall, it was okay once I was there, but I’d plan extra travel time if you stay here.

"Canceling turned into way more hassle than I expected"
I thought canceling my booking would be a quick thing, but I guess I assumed too much. Support kept bouncing me around from one person to another, and after a while it felt like nobody really knew what was going on. I’m still waiting on my refund, which is frustrating.

The price did match what I was expecting, so that part was fine. I just wasn’t totally sure about some of the fees, though, they felt a little unclear to me and I had to look twice to understand what I was being charged for.

"Still waiting on my deposit weeks later"
I booked with Next Car Rental, the car itself was totally fine. Like, no real issues there, it did what I needed it to do.
But the deposit situation has been such a headache. They took the money pretty much right away, but getting it back has been, well, ridiculously slow. I called and emailed a few times, and I kept getting told to wait or check with my bank.
It’s been weeks now and I still don’t have a clear answer, which is just really frustrating. I mean, I get that things can take a few days, but this has gone on way too long. I probably wouldn’t use them again

"I picked up the car what a joke..."
I picked up the car what a joke. It looked like nobody had bothered to clean it at all. There were crumbs all over the seats, the cup holders were sticky, and the floor mats were disgusting. On top of that, the whole car had this weird smell the entire time I was driving it. I mentioned it to the staff, but they acted like it wasn’t a big deal. Definitely not renting from this place again.

"Bad first impression from the staff"
My first impression was awful. The staff came off rude right away, like I was bothering them just by asking a few questions. I couldn’t get a clear answer, just attitude the whole time. It made the whole experience really frustrating, and I definitely won’t be using them again

"Booking was smooth in the beginning..."
Booking was smooth in the beginning, and I thought I had everything sorted out. The price looked fine and I was just trying to get through the checkout without overthinking it. But once I got to the insurance options, it started getting confusing. I assumed some basic cover was already included, then suddenly there were extra fees and different limits that weren’t really explained clearly. I couldn’t tell what was covered and what wasn’t. I asked support, but their answer didn’t make it much simpler. In the end it kind of felt like I had to pay more just to feel safe, which left a bad impression. I probably wouldn’t use them again.

The wait was longer than I expected, and I kept wondering what was going on, but in the end I did get the car. So, I mean, not the smoothest experience time-wise, but it worked out eventually.
